FAQ's Permanent Makeup WHAT IS MICROBLADING? Microblading is a form of tattooing in which a tiny thin blade is used to create hairlike strokes onto the brow area. A custom colored pigment is then inserted and the end result is fuller, natural looking brows. DOES IT HURT? The answer is, it all depends on a few factors and everyone is different. For example, whether the artist numbs the client (which I always do), skin sensitivity, skin type, and personal pain tolerance. Throughout the procedure I like to ask my clients where their pain level is on a scale of 0-10 (0 meaning no pain and 10 being pain beyond belief) and the highest number I’ve heard was a 3-4. Everyone seems to describe the pain the same as getting your brows threaded. Rest assured, I only use the best quality products to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible during the procedure. AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR MICROBLADING? Although, I would love to say that microblading is for everyone unfortunately there are some factors that may disqualify you from being a good candidate. It all comes down to 3 major factors(although it is not limited to these factors alone), the overall health of your skin (face only), your body's overall health and whether you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. In most cases, one or more of these factors will determine whether you are a good candidate or not. I have listed a simple guideline below to give you a good idea of what a good candidate looks like. Must not be pregnant, breastfeeding or planning on becoming pregnant in the following 3 months after initial procedure. 2. If you have any major health concerns, including but not limited to heart problems, diabetes, skin problems (acne, keloid scarring, Rosacea or Psoriasis, etc. on the brow area) please let us know before booking as some health conditions may disqualify you from being eligible for microblading and you will lose your deposit. 3. Must be over the age of 18 with a valid ID on the day of procedure. We do not provide nor allow parent waiver forms. 4. Must not consume alcohol or caffeine 48 hrs prior to the procedure 5. Must be willing to keep brows dry for 7-10 days following the procedure. This includes but not limited to, makeup, lotion, face wash, steam, water, and sweat. 6. If you are on any steriod medications, including but not limited to; Accutane, Retin-A (Tretinoin) or other strong Retinols, blood thinners (including Aspirin), currently receiving chemotherapy or radiation, have had any intense chemical peels, lasers, facials, Botox, Latisse, or lash growth serums on the brow area, other facial treatments. are currently sunburned you will need to wait a certain period before receiving microblading treatment. If you are unsure please contact us before booking your appointment. 7. Please contact us if your skin is EXTREMELY oily, thin, very mature skin or have very large pores. This doesn't necessarily disqualify you but does require an over the phone consult before booking. As always, it is best practice to contact us if you are unsure of any of the requirements. We are here to help and answer any and all questions. WHATS THE HEALING PROCESS LIKE? It’s true! There is a healing process after microblading! I always like to inform my clients about this before they book so they know 100% what they are getting into. The most intense healing takes place during the first 10-14 days post procedure. Here is what the healing process will be like before your touch up: DAY 1: I love my brows! DAYS 2-4: Why are my brows getting darker? DAYS 5-14: They are itching and are starting to flake! DAYS 15-25: Where did they go? DAYS 25-42: They're back! Healing and waiting. WEEKS 5-8: TOUCHED UP AND PERFECTED! Trust the process! This is a pretty accurate description of what you may experience during the healing process. Of course every client heals a little differently. WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT MY APPOINTMENT? 1. Fill out application (if you havent already) 2. Talk about brow goals. I wanna hear all about your ideal shape and color. Tell me everything, I wanna know! 3. Clean brows with an antiseptic and take some before pictures. 4. The fun stuff: Map those brows out. We don't move onto the next step until you are 1000% happy with the shape! 5. Lets get those brows nice and numb! I like to numb one brow at a time to ensure the ultimate comfort. Numbing roughly takes 20 min. 6. While numbing I will mix up your custom brow color and make sure that you LOVE it. 7. The really fun stuff: Let the microblading begin. During this step I will also begin to numb your second brow 8. Don't worry! If the numbing begins to wear off I will then apply a secondary numbing gel. 9. Start microblading the second brow. I will sit you up a few times to ensure symmetry. Warning: you may develop a six pack after your procedure is over, but no charge for that 10. Finally, I will let you take a peek and I encourage everyone to let me know what they think. At this point I will make any necessary adjustments. 11. One final look! I will then seal your brows and go over our aftercare kit. I provide a free aftercare kit for each appointment. 12. Sadly, our appointment is over. We will take some after pictures and schedule your next appointment *Please make sure to plan at least 4 hours for your procedure. Microblading is not something that should be rushed* I HAVE PREVIOUS MICROBLADING FROM ANOTHER ARTIST CAN I BOOK WITH YOU? We take work from other artists on a case by case basis. Please contact us before booking. We will require at least one over the phone consultation and clear pictures of your bare brows. If you booked an appointment without consulting the artist first it is possible that you can be turned away at your appointment and your deposit will be forfeited. CANCELLATION POLICY Sometimes life happens, we get it. Please let us know if you have to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so will automatically charge your card 15% of the full service price. I don't like to enforce this policy but unfortunately I have been burned a few times. STUDIO POLICIES California law states that no one under the age of 18 is allowed inside a cosmetic tattoo salon. Pets are not allowed in the studio unless it is a licensed service animal. No food or drink is allowed in the procedure area. ARE THERE ANY RISKS INVOLVED WITH MICROBLADING? Although, we go above and beyond to ensure the safety and best results for all of our clients there is still some risk involved. Some of these include but are not limited to, infections, allergic reactions, spreading or fanning of pigment, pigment color shifting, loss of pigment, scarring and exposure to infectious diseases. If you are experiencing any severe redness, inflammation, pain, pussing or bleeding please seek immediate medical attention and contact the studio.

I charge a 10% non refundable cancellation fee for any no-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of scheduled appointment.
